I performed a Spanish interpretation last April for an agency in L.A. Since then, they are giving me "run around" and have yet to get payment.
Any advice as to how to proceed? I contacted the L.A. BBB, but they said they do not perform this kind of service.
thanks in advance,
Anna

I had such problems as well and the best way to resolve it is to use Escrow Services in future. The payment is released to the freelancer upon successful completion of the project. This protects both the Buyer as well as the Service Provider.
Unfortunately, I never did manage to get my USD150 paid to me.
It's bad. But you learn from your mistakes...

Thanks for the advice, Joshua. I checked the Escrow services and looks like a good company! I am a new translator and I just started sending my bids. I really did not know what was the safest way to do this bussiness. Thanks again,
Gris

I had a similar problem with a company supposedly based in New York, but they ended up being in Florida. I bombarded them with emails and then decided to cc the local FBI office! It worked Give it a go
